Three Spinal Gates Balance

1 MINUTE READ ↓

The three gates serve as powerful energy centres, historically recognized in ancient Judaism as the three worlds emanating from the initial segment of the beard. They are positioned along the Pillar of Severity in the ancient Sephiroth map, identified as Binah, Gevurah, and Hod. Similarly, in Ancient Taoist Qi Gong, these centres are referred to as the Three Spinal Gates.

These gates correspond to three specific areas of the spine: the first is located at the occiput (the back of the head), the second at the C7/T1 vertebrae (the base of the neck), and the third at the Kidney Gate (in the lumbar region of the back).

To open the three gates, a specific point at each Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) located in front of the ears is utilised. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this point is known as Small Intestine 19.

If the Three Spinal Gates become blocked, you may experience pain or symptoms in or near at least two of these specific centres. If you suffer from complaints such as headaches focused at the back of the head, neck pain around C7/T1, or lumbar region discomfort, addressing this balance may be beneficial.
